HOW TO GET THERE :
-On foot: Take the SVA / 593V trail starting from the upper part of the village (Via De Gasperi). The path has stone steps that climbs through the vineyards.Time: Around 40–45 minutes uphill. Sturdy shoes are required.
-By car :Drive uphill from Riomaggiore along the SP370 scenic road (Via Litoranea) towards La Spezia.Parking: Park along the road near the Montenero trail entrance (parking spaces are very limited).Final walk: You cannot reach the sanctuary directly by car. From the road, you must walk uphill on a stone path for about 15–20 minutes.
People with disabilities:
For wheelchair users, the Cinque Terre National Park and CAI offer a special off-road, single-wheel chair called a Joëlette. It allows disabled visitors to be safely carried along the flatter trail from”Colle del Telegrafo” to the sanctuary, but it must be booked in advance through the Park Authority or CAI La Spezia.
